DUI

Law enforcement is strict against those receiving a DUI citation in Pennsylvania by the police and prosecutors.

First-time offenders may qualify to participate in the ARD Program (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition). Under this program, the participant may receive fewer consequences and a shorter license suspension as well as a clean record showing no DUI conviction.

This program permits the qualifying participant to receive fewer penalties, a shorter license suspension and the opportunity to have a clean record showing no DUI conviction.

Because our firm, Berman & Asbel, LLP has successfully handled DUI cases for many years, we are able to provide you with good, sound advice and a strong defense to minimize penalties.

We carefully review every aspect of our client's case to determine whether he or she should have been stopped, and whether sobriety tests/blood alcohol tests were administered properly. We are often able to resolve DUI cases outside of court, yet we are always prepared to protect our client's rights in the courtroom should that become necessary.

Other alcohol-related offenses we have handled include:

  • Biking while intoxicated
  • Boating while intoxicated
  • Underage DUI
  • Child Endangerment
  • Open Container/Open Bottle
  • Criminal Vehicular Manslaughter and other criminal charges
  • Multiple DUI Offenses

In developing your DUI case, we investigate for defects in Breathalyzer calibration, technical deficiencies in the field sobriety tests and lack of cause for the traffic stop.
